The election of the  Fine Gael and Labour coalition in Ireland, has proved to be similar to that of the UK in 2010, a coalition deal, and what inevitably follows, the u-turns, and betrayal, the Irish voters, thought they were voting for parties who had pledged to renegotiate the terms of the bailout, yet it now seems that both parties are ditching those promises in favour of a continuation of the Fine Fail and the Greens austerity programme. They only needed to look over at Britain to see that the libdem ‘conservative’ coalition is a revival/continuation of the nulab to see that those in pursuit of power will say anything to do so, and once they have it the people can go and jump.
